Indian head!

I just love it when this happens! It's just one penny but it's the second Indian Head I've found, and there's something magical about 1896 coming out of the ground! I visited a ghost town that was originally a town in the 1890s to 1960s. I found two wheat pennies and then this one! It was sitting under a tree that used to have a swing attached, and was about 3 inches down.

Congrats on pulling that IHP. I love seeing those in the hole. My 1st season I also pulled 1, but this year I have dug 21. Everyone of them got me stoked.

Congrats on your Indian. I just dug an 1896 myself last week. If you stop getting excited when you dig an Indian, you might as well sell your detector & get out of the hobby. ( Of course I know our East Coast detecting brothers are laughing at that comment !! )
