I just love it when this happens! It's just one penny but it's the second Indian Head I've found, and there's something magical about 1896 coming out of the ground! I visited a ghost town that was originally a town in the 1890s to 1960s. I found two wheat pennies and then this one! It was sitting under a tree that used to have a swing attached, and was about 3 inches down. :icon_thumleft:

I hunted for a bit before finding an IH. Can't remember my second, but the first is still clear lol.

i never get sick of finding IH good going

Congrats on the IH!! Them injuns look real nice green! One of my favorite!

Great looking Indian Head, congratulations!

Congrats on pulling that IHP. :occasion14: I love seeing those in the hole. My 1st season I also pulled 1, but this year I have dug 21. Everyone of them got me stoked.

That's a nice one all green like that ! I'm a little green myself ...cause I still haven't dug one in 11 years !

BEAUTIFUL FIND WITH THE PATINA , NICE INJUN .

If you come home with an Indian you've had a great hunt imo. I've only come across 4 so far.

Congrats. May you find many more.

Congrats on your Indian. I just dug an 1896 myself last week. If you stop getting excited when you dig an Indian, you might as well sell your detector & get out of the hobby. ( Of course I know our East Coast detecting brothers are laughing at that comment !! )

I am a green Indian fan too. Well played. I will never forget my first one... a thin jade green 1875. Best of luck to you.

I love finding IH's especially when i find no silver it makes the day not feel like a total loss
