ink bottle find..

I was lucky enough to come up on this cobalt blue inkwell this morning while walking a dried up creek bed that I've found and dug many old bottles out of before..Just missed this one till today.. also found yesterday but forgot to post. I believe it come off a gun. The little round button looking piece has a deer head on it.

Great find nice display piece the Cobalt blue is cool I find pieces of that color never a whole piece. Sweet find. Tommy

Very nice find! I was taking measurements on some work at a local police department and saw a bit of cobalt in the dirt about a foot from the edge of the street. I got my pocket knife out and started scraping away the brick hard red clay and about 15 minutes later, it gave up an ink identical to yours. Surprised me that it was whole with all the cars that had run over it for years.
