Yes,

I'm hoping I can track him down and return it to him.

If you would like some assistance tracking him down, please PM me.

G.I.B....PM sent. This coin had my heart pumping...My AT Pro was telling me I had a silver dollar. I have found several silver halves at this same park...so I was getting just a tad excited.

Would be a cool thing to return. Given to them when they graduated ??

Very unique find, good luck tracking Mr Welch! HH!

Hey awesome find. I found a Larry C. Welch on some records. I'll PM you

Good luck finding him, good recovery.

I think I am getting very close to locating Mr. Welch. I believe he may work at the Navajo Army Depot just west of Flagstaff.

Yes, I did get it, thanks. G.I.B. and I are still trying to track him down. Not as easy as one might think, he didn't leave much to go on. the address in Bellemont is only a post office box, and we're not sure if it is even active. I will keep everyone posted on this.

I hope you find him I could try looking him up on my AKO

Hey, try contacting his local American Legion he might be a member or at least someone may know him

Hello CoinHunterAZ. Nice find especially since it has the owner's name on it. Thanks for posting it, I dug a blank one like it for the 507th Parachute Infranty Regiment but did not know it is called a "Challenge Coin". HH C9
