Is it me or do others dislike the new Video Format hitting the net?

I am seeing more and more Video's now isolated the main part of a Video and blurring the surrounding part.

Yeah, me too. Same with the "narrow" videos that remove the outside portions.

Yes it makes it hard to Watch.
Just like Shaky Videos.
Just Like looking through the Wrong end of Binoculars.

if they do not use the Entire Screen,
I Do not waste my time with them anymore.

I thought the Cause of it is Them Holding the Camera Sideways to Video ?

Those are videos shot from a phone. Those who are broadcasting it are simply filling the screen with the blurred crap because of the vertical format. No, I don’t like them either.

It's extremely popular with the iPhone crowd. They actually shoot the video that way on purpose. The blurred movie background is even advised as cool factor in some iMovie tutorials. The people who do it on accident just leave the black bars. Especially since if they didn't know how not to shoot in portrait they probably have no chance of video editing.:tongue3:

Many of these are like this, because people don't take the time to rotate their phone to the side.

Wrong. The problem IS rotating the phone to it’s side!
