Is this a fur trade ring?

This was found on a fur trade site, but I've never seen one like it. I've not seen one with this big of a stone. Could it have been lost later and just happened to be at the site?

Also who made trade silver with a mark of DA? Anyone know?

Piney Dont know about the ring for sure its old but how old to say fur trade or not depends what years you go by.
I will look up to see if i can find DA tonight

It's a beautiful ring anyway you look at it. Try David Anderson of Norway for the DA, not sure if he used DA or his entire name.

Hey Piney. I looked in all my books could not come up with anything for DA.
can you get a close up picture of it?

Whites and Garrett. I use several machines, the ace 350 is a nice machine. I have a 5900, 6000, whites.
