Congrats, on my short hunts I usually bring home beer tabs, bottle caps and maybe a square nail or two if I'm lucky.

Thanks everyone for comments. I went to a museum today and saw a coat with this same button. The coat was from the Civil War Era 42nd Volunteer Regiment and was a Major Ranked Officer.
