Detected the same field as yesterday but today I have about a ?? of snow. It was 0C/32F and snowing when I started detecting. I only hunted for just over an hour as the snow was sticking and melting on me and the detector, it started getting messy and wet. This pic is for you poor warm climate people who have to break a sweat during a hunt, LOL.

The meager finds, another lead seal and I have many of these, seem to find one nearly every hunt but always enjoy the find. A musket ball and a little broken whatsit.

The days prized find, a military coat button. It would have been sewn into the coat and it would have held a belt to keep it from sagging. German and probably pre WWI. Thanks for looking and HH, Mike

Very nice. That lion is common not only for Prussia, but also for later Bavaria, Czech and some other locations. Difference is in the tail, but I do not know yet exactly - subject to learn during winter :)

Excellent digs. I'd say by the looks of what you found that your do or die
determination to get out and hunt really paid off.

Nice Mike, Your right it's not over until the ground freezes unless you come across a hot spot at that time. I've been known to hunt all year if the finds are there in a abundance. Something about letting good fair game treasure lie in the ground another few months. Can't be done. It gets to me and I'll be out ice picking the ground for them.

Neat stuff, Mike. Now I know what a belt support looks like.
