I've been MIA on the beaches for several weeks due to back injury, but today I

resumed my favorite hobby, heading for the nearest beach.

Hunted for only one hour....( per Dr's order.)

It was soooooooooooo good to get out there again after such a long hiatus; met some detecting friends and it was great to chat with them again for a bit.

The beach , although quite sanded in near the shoreline ,had some bare spots mid- way up

so I concentrated in these areas; it's where I dug up the watch...about 6 " deep; it gave off a mid -tone, kind of "growling" sound. I think it is Stainless steel ....in poor condition..too bad.

Didn't find much in the way of treasures, but it was an enjoyable hunt.

Here's some pics.

Thanks for looking

Lorraine

Lorraine, Boy do I understand about back problems, thats one of the reasons I Have not posted in a long time.. I always love reading your posts. I myself, have been taking it super easy, I have not been out much which is driving me nuts, so it looks like I will have to do shorter hunts which is alot better then no hunts..but lordy I love detecting and if I have to crawl off the beach so be it..I just cant give it up. One last thing, my back operation was a failure and there will be no more back operations ever for me.
