July 2016 Finds at Pre-Hunted Sites

Hello All. Have hit the wall on new sites to dig this month so I revisited seven spots that I have dug several times in the past couple of years. All of the sites were 1900 to 1930's homes and one park.

Gridded the better areas and hard to reach spots low and slow digging iffy signals. I am amazed at the stuff I missed. Got the usual mix of items including clad, Wheaties, ammo, toys, buckles, keys, and misc hardware.

I did score some common bottles and one silver that turned out to be a melted 1955 Rosie at a site where the house burned down. Also got a very cool ornate broach at an existing 1918 home...too bad the settings are gone. Also discovered two garbage pits that I have logged for the future.

I enjoyed these hunts but I gotta' find some new dirt in August to adequately feed my habit!!!!

I know what you mean. I need some new sites till I can get into some farm fields. I think I have squeezed about all I'm going to get from old sites

Nice finds, I am also amazed at the finds I pull from many previously hunted sites. Sometimes a new coil or detector can breathe some life into previously hunted sites and also something as simple as a soaking rain can make them produce. Good luck on finding new sites.

It's just way too darn dry to hunt permissions in my area, so I am not even asking.
