I was using the Deus today I knew the area I was going to hunt is riddled with iron and slag, lots of slag from an old iron furnish. I could just barely hear these silvers in-between the iron. I was working very slow. I have been through this area at least 12 times with three different machines. I wouldn't even try the Deus in salt water, just because the excalibur would hunt circles around it. They are talking about an upgrade this coming Sept for the Deus. The way I understand it there will be a new DD coil but there coils are pretty expensive. We'll see the upgrade will be available to all XP Deus owners, just have to upload it free on the net. I have used it down the shore in the winter when I'm not in the water, it struggles in the wet hard pack. Everywhere else I love the wireless features and the lightness of the Deus.

Sweet finds TH, congrats on the rescue of two submerged silver sweethearts. If I tried to take my ATPro, which has more holes in it than a block of Swiss cheese, into the water, I would have to drag the bottom for its recovery...(but hey it still finds stuff on land.) Sub

Good hunt!! Finally got my first silver yesterday in almost a month. I was in the water too, the rain. Lol
