So I went back to the new middle school that yielded the 1865 IH Penny last week. My goal was to find some gold today. I dug every signal that I went over. I finished with $1.90 in clad and an 1882 Indian Head Penny :) I also got 2 rings, neither gold nor silver, but oh well, at least they weren't smashed like usual.

The Indian was found near where I found the other one last week. This is some nice fill dirt ;) It was about 2 inches deep.

Any coin in the 1800's is nice! The gold is out there somewhere!

Wow. Nice. I always wonder where they take that fill dirt and move it too. There could literally be great coins almost anyway because of it. Nice finds man.

Oh yeah, that is certainly true.

Where in MI are you from? I'm planning a trip up there sometime this summer, maybe we could get together for a hunt.
