E-trac, Ace 250, Pro Pointer
It's an 1871. Unfortunately, it's in bad shape. :BangHead: I was detecting around my parents clothes line in the back yard and moving really slow with the Dfx. I had been all over the front and back yard a bunch of times with the Ace 250. I almost didn't dig the target because it was giving me a zinc penny signal. It was at about three and a half inches deep, so I said what the heck. I didn't expect it to be a Indian head because the house was built in 1941. It looks pretty worn though and maybe it was someone's lucky penny. Here are the pics:

Very nice. Looks like maybe you need to go over the whole place again with the new detector. The acer 250 missed some.

Congrats on the great find. Hopefully there's more out there for you.

Nice penny The DFX should find some good stuff.

Possible that a house used to be where yours is today. Could have been torn down 20 years before the new one. Also could have been a person hiking through your yard when no house was there and dropped it. No one knows for sure, but we do know it's a beauty.

Lets assume that its an 1871 IH...

First, use it as a place holder...

It will increase the value of a IH penny collection over a blank spot...

As worn as the penny is, it could bring between $50 to $100...

Whatever you do, DO NOT CLEAN OR USE ELECTRALSIS...
