On the heels of Earthwork's double Large Cent day...yesterday... and after working a large wooded area alongside out old colonial site...and finding nothing...I popped out into the large lawn area just below out site....and wow....a great coppoer signal...and 7 inches down this came out!! Minutes before I recall Bergie saying to Hollowpointred "This area is just about all worked out...." or something like that. When Hollowpointred finally makes it home .... if he doesn't stay longer (hehe) .... he's going to have one heck of a post also!

In any event ... I'd appreciate a keen eye's take on this coin based upon it's weight, size and the details still evident on both sides. It certainly was found in an area rich with colonial history.

Thanks!

GoingDown :)

Looks like a King George II. It's actually in better shape than the one I found this year. Nice dig ;D

Hey, dude, nice job. I always say "it's hunted out" as a good luck charm, then somebody finds something good. If I say "you should find something, there's lots of stuff" -- then it's a sure shutout. Welcome to the 1700s club!
