Hey there everyone I found this anchor while diving the other day. I found this anchor in the middle of sand with no natural reef or bottom witching thousands of feet of it. I grew up treasuring hunting and shipwreck diving. So a couple of questions, any idea of what era it may be from? It’s about 10FT in length. I’m wanting to Salvage it and I have the means to do so, but what is the steps I would need to take to do it legally. Any and all experience/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd check to see if there is a salvage claim at that spot first. If not, I'd file one if it's not terribly expensive. Maybe after you have the permit, bring a blower in and see if anything else is under all that sand.
