Today I visited a plowed field that I knew had some history to it. I noticed small
pieces of China , blown Glass, red brick pieces on top of the soil. I knew I was
in the right spot. Ended up digging 5 large coppers. They are 1842 1849 1850 coronets, a draped bust one cent worn year, and what looks like a British Farthing worn year ,a Rhode Island navy button, a bunch of flat buttons, a buckel, a silver spoon end. And other knick knacks
. Using the ctx3030 low and slow. Thanks for looking.

Sorry it's not a navy button. It's a Rhode Island civil war era button. Thought it was a navy button with the anchor on it. How it ended up in a south jersey field is beyond me.

Those LCs are in really nice shape. It's awesome when you have a productive site with great soil conditions. Congrats

KickA$$ Finds Tony 12100 !

Coin condition is typical SJ condition , very nice on the 1830's-50's and hit or miss scruffy oxidation on the Early lc's.

You stumbled upon early settler site ,

did you dig up any old foundation bricks ?

You said that you knew that the field had some history.

What was the history that you knew?
