Last Couple Of Hunts

I have managed to slip out a little over the last week or so. All this is from the same spot, a demolished neighborhood.

Hunt 1 There weren’t many high tones, so I tried to dig nickels, which ordinarily I am too lazy to dig. Much to my surprise, I got a hand full of nickels. Luckily one was a Buffalo and one had a large mint mark.



Hunt 2 While digging an endless stream of bottle caps and trash, I stumbled across a hem weight. A short time later, a deep Merc appeared after some trash was removed from a hole.



Hunt 3 About three hours of digging produced a pouch full of trash and a hand full of coins. 5 wheaties, a Tootsie and a Merc were in the mix.

Funny thing about nickels. They seem to congregate with other things, like , rings and things.

I'm lazy too but never too lazy to dig up a diamond ring from 1776.

WTG Tom... Starting the year out with some silver has got to be a good thing. Tootsie cars are like a caffeine drink, a little something that keeps you going. My Cousin was in Concord for New Years and sent me a text saying it was 66 degrees . I hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a happy hunting New Year. SD

The high in Charlotte was 71 degrees yesterday! It was a nice day to be outside.

71 degrees, nice! The weather cooperated and let me get out on 12-30, my B day. I got a trashed 64 rosie and a really sweet 45 merc along with the only IHP I dug all year, a 1893. 8 wheats as well for a great day out in mid 50's weather.
I hope to get out and find my first silver for the year this weekend.
