Well I guess I have had my last full day of hunting in Germany. I still have two months left but with the weather and lack of free time I will have to just get an hour or two in here and there. :-\ We hit two spots .The first one was not all that great but the last spot of the day did pretty good for me. I found a large thick green coin that is in pretty rough shape but to my surprise it turns out to be a Roman coin! I guess when you are not looking for something ,thats when you find it. The take for the day was three French buttons, two shoe3 buckles (one that is real nice) ,a few coins (one tiny silver 1 kruezer 1847) , a cool little iron cross button,53 musket balls, two corroded nazi propaganda pins from 1936 and other odds and ends. It was a good day. :) It is only an hour drive away, if the weather holds out through the Christmas holidays I might get back up there for a few hours. I hope all is well and thanks for looking. :)

Birdman I think you are going to miss that place when you leave :'( Every time I read your posts they are great. All full of very interesting finds. If you look at your finds this time, there is such a variety, and probably such a date range,,,,, where else are you going to find that.

God bless
Peter

Awesome finds Bman! That aluminum pin/badge is from Labor Day in May 1936, should have Hitler's bust on the reverse. If you can bare the cold, you will be able to get some more hunting time in over Christmas, I detected until 22Jan06 here and the weather there is just a bit better than here. HH and nice post, Mike

You're going to miss Germany bird. That Roman coin looks great. I'd love to find one of those. Yours looks to have great detail after cleaning.

Mike thanks for the ID on the Nazi badges. :) I wish they were in a little better shape but they will still display well. I will be hunting until there is to much snow on the ground or the ground is solid. Last year I hunted until January in between snow falls. ;)
