i found 2 mercs, a few wheaties ,and these tokens and this ww2 nazi item , if this item offends anyone ,please deleted it , i can see how it might , its a honor pin from the hitler youth, 16 year old got a bronze one , 17 year olds got a silver plated and a gold plated one, this is the silver plated one , found it in an old yard about 4 to 5 inches down it came out ,tarnished and i used electrolosis to clean it up . again i hope this doesnt stir bad memories for anyone , as my dad was in ww2 , so might you have ben or your dad . Always makes me wonder how things get where they end up/.

I wonder if the pin is the real deal or a replica that someone lost. There's a big business in replica war medals & pins. Lots of the real deals came home with the veterans as souvenirs though... A legit dealer could tell you which it is. A real piece of history if it's original.

Congrats on the great finds, especially the gorgeous Merc! :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

First, great finds! :thumbsup:

Second...(from a German to English translatior)
"Hfur(Fur)" = "For"
"Leistungen" = "achievements"
"In der" = "In that"

"For achievements in that"...

Hope this helps.

Here's a website with several pictured.
This website says these are very scarce and has examples priced at $200!!

By the way, it looks real to me. A repro would not have been corroded like that. Also the sharpness of the details look better than most repros.

Cool and unique finds. I would think everyone here is a big enough that the Hitler pin isn't going to offend. In that case people who are lactose intollerant may be offended by the "Good for a Quart of Milk" token :wink: Keep up the good work. Happy hunting
