Or maybe a 'pop' even :D
I have had hours of fun hunting in this park which dates back to 1850, which is 'old'
for this part of the world. Here are my latest finds.......
A toy cannon. Hence the title of the post. No idea of age but I like it a lot.

My oldest penny. 1863.

An old no date sixpence. Pretty neat because it is worn smooth. Can see an early Victoria head.

NZ forces military buttons. I have no idea of the date of these.

A heavy silver and enamel ring. No marks but it looks old.

As well as the above.. Old pennys and half-pennys..Two more rings..Lawnmower NZ sixpence.
1930 US one cent. Has wheat sheaves around it.
Guess it is a 'wheatie' 'wheaty'?? :tongue3:

John, I'm green with envy. Only yesterday I was saying to my family how I would like to find a toy cannon of the 19th century. I will have a look at your other finds later - now I can see only that cannon. Now I am back ;D The ring is of 1890 - 1930's. They like enamel and silver then.

great to see that you are pulling in 19 century stuff, I think all the stuff u have pulled is great but the cannon is a little special, Lol

Look foward to seeing the silver that you will undoubtly get out of that place soon.

Toy cannons are appparently a tough/interesting find. Yours looks pretty good.
Will you have a chance to show the ring when it's cleaned up?

Thank you all for your kind comments.
I have posted previous finds from this park, including a gold ring. But the cannon has to be
my favourite find.

If your ladies went for guys with only wheaties in their pockets, you are better off. ;D

Great finds, we always look forward to seeing cool finds from the land to the right of the land down under. ::)
