My buddy Dave & I ventured out today in the snow and cold to our favorite colonial/civil war site in Virginia. Although cold and snowy, and dodging falling trees and limbs from the weight of the first snow, we did manage to save a bit of history and some silver too.

I finished the day with 10 bullets:

3 fired enfilelds, 1 dropped williams cleaner, 2 /.52 spencer bullets with bit of casing attached, 3 fired .58s, and 1 jacket button button back. But the real surpise and a first for me was digging my first barber half dollar- a 1908 O in very good condition, that I first thought was foil or tin.
