So very very disrespectful. You are implying (in violation of TN rules) that I would want to kill another human being.

Why? I thought you were an adult. You spoke to my friend Smee a couple years ago about your near death experiences, but when he read this he couldn't believe it. He says that your recent posts do not reflect the person he remembers conversing with. It doesn't sound like the person I used to converse with either.

A case of the pot calling the kettle black.

You really are a weasel arn't you? And that's not "implying". You remind me of certain sportsmen who purposely cheat and fake things to get other players sent off from the field of play because they're better than you and it gives you a better chance of winning!

Friend of smee? or Smee in another ID?...either way things are a bit clearer now. ;)

HA! I thought THAT was "directed" at ME. I DO remember a Smee...

Dano I know you really secretly wish to be an American, but being so poor that you can't even find your way back to "not so great" brittain, it's a dream you'll never realize.

Now I'm sure that isn't true, but for someone to say I want to kill people isn't true either. To say Reb implied it was being NICE and not calling it what it actually was - an outright insult and likely libelous.

Smee happens to be my next door neighbor and got me started visiting this forum.

Now, roll back over and go to sleep . . . just like the rest of your countrymen. Too much trouble to work for liberty when you can do nothing.

Lol, i don't have to "work for liberty" mate. I'm already at liberty to do whatever i feel like doing! Something Americans don't realise about the rest of the western world. Being fairly wealthy also means i don't HAVE to work for anything really. :)

Being "fairly wealthy " must mean you are "fairly " good at filling out all those forms you guys use to sign up for all your socialist programs

Nope, not whining. Just stating fact. If it had been someone else, they might have taken it beyond a simple explanation of what was done.

Freedom of speech does have limits.

Insulting and libelous picture? Not really, I do get a kick out of you acting so silly because you remind me of the cowardly lion from the Wizard of Oz. All roar, no bite.

Much like your countrymen who gave up their liberties for security.

I do believe we are leaving the original theme of this thread which, to me anyway, is one of the many arguments pro-gunners make concerning those who would use guns against unarmed, honest citizens and the need for the honest citizen to be able to protect themselves. That is just one reason I have guns; various guns. I also hunt. Some hunting requires a rifle and some requires a shotgun. I also like skeet shooting which also requires a shotgun. Fishing and camping in Alaskan wilderness areas also requires a large caliber sidearm for protection against bears and scaring away moose. May even need a gun for survival hunting for food although that is remote in my case. I even like long range target shooting. Should I have to give up all of the things I enjoy doing with guns because of our disfunctional society? I think not. Just this morning, on tv, they talked about all of the murders in Chicago. They didn't say they were all gun related but they did say about 80% of them were gang related. Do you think those 80% were committed with a registered handgun by the registered owner? If you do, you are out of touch with reality. Besides that Rebel, I wouldn't want to go shooting gangbangers myself but, it does not bother me in the slightest to hear about them shooting each other up. Their young ages do not bother me either. I figure a welfare paid for funeral is a lot cheaper than a lifetime of support by the taxpayers while they shoot and rob honest citizens. We need more guns in the hood!

So THAT is what ALL this is about... BINGO! "(Giving) up their/our liberties, for SECURITY...". Something to "Ponder" on... or as J. Krishnamurti once wrote... "Think on these things"... hmmm...
