Lake Martin area surface finds from Elmore, Coosa & Tallapoosa counties. I've rearranged these from time to time so some of the same one(s) will appear in the 1st two frames.

I don't see much quartz here. Mostly Edward Cherts. When that's around I guess you don't mess with Quartz. I do have a few from way North East Texas. It's much more difficult to work than cherts and Flint.

Mine? I’ve got another that’s bigger. I had bought them from a guy who was making them but decided to stop so I got the close out price.
I meant to mention yours Creek, those are cool but I bet pretty expensive. Hey Terry; thanks for the message about your frames. I should of known who they're from; those are the same size and look as mine that I've purchased from Troy.

I’ve gotten a few from Troy at shows. He knows the guy I bought mine from.

Here's a few of mine I found at the same site in Central Georgia. My phone is terrible at taking pictures in unnatural light; especially dealing with quartz.

Here are 2 from my A-Frame
White quartz Dalton with a fluting nipple
Biggest Savannah River I’ve ever found and only yellow quartz to date.
