Finally went out and got a little friend to take diggin' with me.The coins are are some of my finds, but the derringer was a purchase. It chambers 44 rounds or 410 shells...It packs quite a wallop on both ends.

Looks like a 410 would fill the whole barrel of that shorty. Me and my cousin would go pheasant hunting and he had a Thompson Contender, he'd put a 410 she'll in one of the barrels he had for it. I saw him knock a rooster down with it. I think the barrel he used was a 45 long Colt ?

The only experience I had with over under was when I was teenager. I had a .22LR on top and 410 on the bottom. I was constantly forgetting to switch that button on the side, and fire the one I didn't intend to. With that palm gun, if you had to use it, your target would more'n likely be close, so probably wouldn't matter much.

Is the little " friend " very old? She's a looker!

I want one of those to keep in the truck. Seen a few 22 over 12's, but none with a .410 used anyways. The dealers can order a new one, but I hit a lot of Pawn shops on the road, so maybe I'll score one someday for a decent price.

They are well made. Love mine.

I see the Savage .22 over 410s fairly often at gun shows, you should be able to find one fairly easily. I prefer my .22 mag over 20 ga., a little harder to find but it covers a wider usage range in my opinion. I still have my .22 over .410 that I have owned for over fifty years and was my favorite dump gun for ratting as a teenager.

Sure, I should look at the shows. I haven't gone to one in a long time. I'd be good with the 20 gauge also.

The Taurus Judge is a revolver that will fire 410 and 45 Colt rounds. Does your pistol have 2 different size barrels or are 44 and 45 interchangeable or is it that 410 rounds can fit in both the 44 and 45 barrels? At any rate, the "Judge" cannot be sold in California.

I messed up the first post, Sorry, it shoots 45s, not 44s, Both barrels are the same size and take 45 colts or 410s. But it has to be the short 410s.

Great gun! My prospecting piece.
I don't understand why Cali would not like that pistol.....But there is a lot down there I don't understand.
