B.I.T. and I hit some local woods this morning...awesome weather. Not long into the hunt I called B.I.T. over and said...look. There was $5 on the ground...

It turned into $25...sweet...

Working along the oldest track through the woods I got the best silver dollar signal I've ever had on the E-Trac...solid 1-44 and a narrow pinpoint. It was silver, but no dollar. James Avery cross ring (#10) size 12, 11 grams. I'll take it.

B.I.T. snags a 3ringer and a fragment of another...there is old stuff around.

We moved north and hunted along a river for awhile...

I've been working...

...on the railroad...

Hunt totals. B.I.T. outdid me on quantity and antiquity, but I got the cash and silver!...lol. A great hunt!

Terrific finds!Gotta be more there but be careful, that $25 was probably a dope deal area.

Thanks wsd :) Definitely a party area...cans all over and some are deep. Heard some shooting, and deer were everywhere.

Nice hunting Beep. Love the finds. Was that local around Houston. Looks like you hit the right spot. Congradulations.....

Thanks Old River :)

We'll just say local ;D ...but, yeah, Houston.

Your ring is a James Avery (Kerrville ,TX. ) Although he has become international , You will see
a candelabra and the initials JA on the inside of the shank - very nice find ! Argentium.

Nice looking finds! Tell me did you split the $25 with BIT or just let him have the 5 and you kept the 20? I have a feeling you're gonna say finder's keepers. ;D

 RR

Thanks Argentium...this was the 10th JA cross ring I've found...all different sizes...this is the biggest. Lots of JA in TX.

Great collection of interesting finds and the photos really add to the story!
