Wow! what a field and looks daunting to me but then again I haven't done any field walking (would love to try it out though), which reminds me I need to ask about that field I was told I could check out. The pic with the bucket, whatever that item is, it has clear markings showing it was something, wonder what it is. The flint is real pretty and great artifacts to add to your collection. Love the hammerstone! You have a great spot and I'm sure there's tons more you will find...just gotta do a rain dance!

I actually hit a total of 4 fields today. I did the old zig zag on the last 2 but didnt find much in them. I was tried by the time I got walk the last 2. All the flint pieces in my hand are broken points. 2 bases and one tip. The round white item is quartzite and isnt a natural shape they are usually oval not round so Im thinking a hammer stone the other is broken rite trough the middle if it had been whole Im thinking a grinder type seeing it is very flat. I got word today I can go back to the fields that yield pottery and mostly black flint. Im looking forward to that due to I have only walked 1 field out there. Ill take my camera I promise.

Yeah we all have the bad days. Just part of the hobby. If it was easy everyone would be doing it. I was just gald it was a nice sunny day, little cool in the morning but just wore a jacket. I just checked the rain for the week and the % just keeps dropping.

Chance of snow here. I hate that.
