Looking for opinions on 1900 Indian Head

Hello All,
Going through a batch of Indian Heads that I picked up and came across this 1900 that I believe has some doubling on the reverse. Looking for opinions, please take a look at the pics below and let me know what you think:

IMO you take some wonderful up close pictures.....but I can't speak to the doubling......

IMO you take some wonderful up close pictures.....but I can't speak to the doubling......

Thank you. I use an Andonstar ADSM201 usb microscope. Works very well, set it up to a 24" monitor and can run through a batch of coins in no time checking for errors, etc. Do a search for it on youtube and you will see examples of similar setups. :)

Yes, it is called Longacre doubling and is very common on Indian Head cents. The actual cause of the doubling has been debated, but no definitive answers that I know of.

Thank you. Definitely looks like Longacre doubling now that I compare it to examples I am finding on the web. Thanks again for the info.
