Got up this AM to head out with the wife to hunt a new location. Got the detectors out and tested the batts before heading out. ALL good...full charges.
We get there and my wife puts on the headphones and kicks the Tesoro with the new big DD coil. I could hear it through her phones after the battery test....
BWAAAAAAAHHHHHH.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?
Turn it off... pull out the battery.... inspect. Again... BWAAAAAAAAAAAHH. undo the coil connection and re-seat. BWAAAAAAAAAAHHH.
Come back home and put the stock 8x9 on it. Fires right up.
Bummer... I got 30-45 minutes on this coil doing air tests and goofin off in the yard. I tried looking for short in the cable and seeing if there was an obvious problem with the connection. Nope.
Reckon its headed into Tesoro ahead of schedule... oh, well, I wanted it tuned up anyway.
