I have a brand new M 6 sitting in my office. Need some advice on it ,is it a coin and ring killer as people say. I'm looking for ease of use and reliability . Was also looking at the Garrett AT Pro just because its waterproof and a little lighter . Some honest feed back on this would be great . Also does the M6 go as deep as they say ? Thanks

I am not sure how deep they say, but for coin and jewlery, it is very good. My girlfriend has one and it is very simple to operate and effective. She primarily coin and jewlery hunts. I'd say keep it! :coffee2:

It is still a good detector and it will go deep enough. I'd say keep it unless you just want another detector.

The M6 is a good detector and plenty of coils for it that will also work on any E-series whites detectors. I'd say keep it. HH

Say no more & keep the M6.

Now if you want a second detector, try the ATP.

IMHO, the M6 is the best coinshooter of all...especially with the 4x6 coil!

If you're wanting to find rings and coins with it, you need the 4x6 coil. It makes a world of difference, you'll see. That's when I bonded with my M6. You'll never want to change detectors once you try it with that coil.

I'm sure glad to know I'm not the only one in love with my 4x6 on the M6! :laughing7:

M6 is balanced beautifully, it feels lighter than the ATpro, and it has seven tone. After using both, I cannot tell which one goes deeper, I say they are about the same. I went with the Garrett because it's a bit cheaper and its waterproof to ten feet, and three tone is all I need.
