since i see more interest in pottery theses days i thought i would go to a spot below a hill where i think broken pots were discarded or maybe
just washed from rain or possibly a few earth lodges have fallen over the hill

the average size of these were about soccer ball size and quite a few were up to the size of a 4 gallon bucket
the smaller cantalope size were usually the most decorated

here are some pieces that i picked up one morning a few days ago

IMG_0348.jpg here is the 'rainbow' design which we like to find

IMG_0350.jpg these two pieces are the kind that have the marks made from a human finger/fingernail

these are hard to find.....to those tnetters that i have sent mail to i tried to put one of this type in the gift box

now i only have these two and i will probably give them away and have to find more....but i think i can sometime

I do enjoy the designs on the pottery. One piece I took to a I.D. and the person that looked at it wasn't sure as to what it was. Its in a frame now.
