About 25 years back I traded a new Compass detector (I used to be a Compass dealer) for an old Fisher two-box detector. I've got a 1952 manual, but I'm looking for an old one - I'm thinking mid-1930s - since the detector is made of plywood. The serial number is 40131. I don't know if that's the 131st one made in 1940, or, more likely, the 131st one made, period. At least It's the only plywood set I've seen or heard of.

It's in a custom cloth-covered plywood case with the remnants of a Fisher label and the value listed at $150.00.

Can anyone tell me more about it or provide a copy of the manual?
