I've got a four hour window open during a one day business trip to SW FL.
Anyone have a recommendation on where to spend an afternoon beach/water hunting?
Thanks!
If it was me, I'd go to Bowman's Beach. My kid found this 10K wedding band in dry sand on Bowman's beach. i gave him 50 bucks for it. Alot of "shellers" go there. It ain't as "busy" as other public beaches but it'll always be one of my favs to detect
If you get to Sanibel by yourself there is a public beach access on the south end of the island at the old lighthouse. Going north toward Captiva you'll pass Bowman's Beach and there is a public beach there as well. At Blind Pass the parking areas are fairly hard to find but that is a public area as well. Currently the cost of taking the causeway from Fort Myers to Sanibel is 6.50 for a round trip.
Parking at the Lighthouse Beach, Bowman's Beach and Blind Pass starts 2.00 per hour. Found newer clad coins on both the Lighthouse beach and Bowman's beach.
