Max depth with a Garrett CXII

Greetings,

I used to be a member of this forum back in 98-99. I brought my 10 year old CXII out of mothballs in an effort to rekindle some magic from when I first got it. I've been using a Bounty Hunter Quickdraw II as of late, mainly due to it's weight. I was wondering, what's the deepest coin have any of you CXII users ever gotten from theirs? Also, how deep regularly has your CXII been able to find a coin. Thinking back, I can't remember ever getting more than 6" with mine. This time I am going to start off with a clean slate, I plan to hunt in the all-metal mode, and really give this thing a chance. Thanks guys.

I had a cxIII and hunted in all metal 90% of the time. I found indian heads at 8 & 9 inches, and silver quarters at 10+

run in all metal mode and you'll see the difference!

I forgot to mention-- it's all metal slow motion mode that you want to hunt in (not) true all metal NON motion mode. There's a huge diff, be sure you're in discriminate all metal mode.
