Merc & First Dog Tag

Got out today to a park I was detecting last week. I only had a couple of hours that time (Half day at work with a metal detector under the desk). Anyhow, I did pull out a 66 quarter and a few wheats, so I knew this place had to have some type of potential. Today again I went out, got on to some clad and ran into this 1943 merc. I was happy as f*&k, as I haven't hit a merc in a minute and nothing brings me more satisfaction. I began to tighten up the sweeps in the vicinity but that merc was the last and only silver for the day. I then ran into this dog tag. The date is not clear in the scan but it's dated 1958. I'd call it my final finds for 2006, but I'm gearing up for some more swinging tomorrow.

eathabs, that is my 5th merc. I found two with the BH 1100 and three so far with the ACE 250. Ringfinder, sure was using the ACE 250. The signal went from dime to quarter and back and forth. Moonshine, this merc is in better shape than the others I have found. The reverse looks nice. Thanks for the great comments guys.
