I don't post my finds too often, because, it is a slow process to gather enough items to do so. No story this time. Nothing fancy happened. I did not nearly kill myself or break anything on my body getting these finds(thankfully). I did hit the dirt for about 6 hours today. I MD'd so long I just didn't want to do it anymore.
I dug a wheat penny today. 1920. Great looking penny. I did not use the electrocution method of cleaning. I learned my lesson the last time when I ruined that 1918. This penny looks as good as the day it was dropped. I will post the un-shocked version and then the shocked version for all to see that electrolysis can be dangerous business for coins. The veterans know this already, but, some noobs may not realize what can happen with this process.
My Merc is a 1918. I tried two or three times to scan it with less light each time and it still shows no date. I got a 1918 merc to replace my 1918 wheat and a 1920 wheat that survived ME!!!
Next is my first token. Metropolitan Transit Authority. No date. Guess it is an early bus token? Maybe still usable. I don't ride the bus, so, I don't know how old it might be.
Next is a key-looking thing. It is very thin and flexible. Non-ferrous. I think it must be alaminium(that's what my buddy called it, but, he's also a retard).
One American lock key.
Piranha penny. Nuff said.
One Freedom 'No Cash Value' game token.
One hotwheels car.
One old, old, old rusty wall phone.
Today's clad count is 3 = quarters, 1 = nickel, 3 = dimes, 22 = pennies.
Today's hole count = 167
