I'm taking a Cruise with my wife and Parents in January. We're headed to Princess Cays, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and Grand Turk... Anyone have any experience MD'ing with a LAND ONLY detector on a beach in these areas? I only have an ACE 350, and figured to just do the sand, if the missus says OK.

Princess Allows MDers apparently, but I'd like folks' experience. Sometimes it's best to leave the hobbies behind, too, and simply enjoy the water. :)

I'd do it. Your problem may be that the prime time to hunt is in the evening or early morning, but, that's usually when you're sailing. Your 350 should work fine in the dry sand.

Your detector is somewhat waterproof too. You should be fine but your sensitivity will be different than normal.
