Metal Engravers.....Looking for One....Anyone?

Well, title says it all.

Im curious if anyone on here has any input on a decent metal engraver, I have always wanted to try it, but just like Detectors..Im sure there are many varibles on qulity ones.

I dot want to spend alot at first, maybe 100 bucks or less

If anyone has any information on this. Please repost or PM me.

bought one a few weeks ago at harbor freight for 8 dollars

I bought a GRS machine a couple years ago for high end hand engraving. I did not have the time to put into it. Sold it and actually made a profit. They run around a thousand I think. I had the Gravermax plus all the extra hand tools and bits.

Hand Engraving Tools and Jewelry Tools // GRS Tools

You can go to some of the engraver forums to learn and they often have machines for sell plus they are very helpful.

Seems everything now is laser etched and crappy.

You can also study and try the art of hand engraving like in the old days. The old tools are still used and can be found. I like seeing the old art work and have books on just engravings. Cool stuff. I stunk at it. The harbor freight one will probably scratch your name on something though
