The best thing about md'ing in Canada is the clad. I'm not really a clad hunter but since getting my Outlaw a couple of weeks ago I've gotten $93.27.
Gotta love the $1 loonie & $2 2oonie coins, as they add up. I got my 25th 2oonie today which is the easiest coin to predict up in the great white north with the Outlaw. Very distinct with two different metals. The 1996-2011 were an aluminum bronze inner core with a pure nickel outer ring. 2012 forward the inner core was switched to aluminum bronze coated with multi-ply plated brass and the outer ring switched to steel coated with multi-ply plated nickel.

But I still dream of detecting in the south west US for gold.:3barsgold:

There's a whole lot better to dig in many parts of Canada than modern coins. :)

There sure is. I mostly do old or abandoned properties but I've been playing around with the new machine in a few parks doing soccer sidelines.
Did one old overgrown home site with it so far and got a couple of large cents, 3 indian heads (1902 x 2, 1903) and 7 silvers.
