Hello everyone, I'm back. 😂 We've had so much rain here, it's been hard to get out. Yesterday I dug in the rain, I was right. I didn't melt. Lol
I decided to go back out today, as we're expecting thunderstorms tomorrow. I found what an "old timer" said is a button from the Revaluation War (British?) The bullet shell he said was from the Civil War?? Does anyone else have a bad habit of "not" staying in the same spot? I think it's my ADD!? 😂🤣

I am no expert on civil war ammo but I have studied it a little. Based on what I know that looks like a latter shell casing. I have a reference book and it dos not have anything that looks like that in it. I could be wrong though.

Button is civilian, probably early 1800's. That cartridge case is modern. Nice find on the button, theres gotta be more older stuff where you found it.

Thank you so much. The area I'm digging is quite large, about 60 acres. There are several old foundations, the stage coach use to travel through it. I could dig there for a very long time. 😊😊

I can see WRA on the shell casing. It is rimmed bottleneck and appears to have the proportions of a .30-30 or .32 Special. WRA is for Winchester Repeating Arms.
