Howdy all,
I picked this uniform up today for $5.00 bucks at a yard sale. The set came with the jacket, trousers, and a shirt, and overseas cap. I am assuming it is WW1 era. The buttons are all 2 piece. The contents of the pockets were a couple books of matches, and a ribbon. It has a Thunderer whistle attached to the shoulder by a brass chain. I don't recognize the unit shoulder patch or the hat pin. The belt is in great shape and overall the uniform isn't too bad at all. Any info would be appreciated. For 5 bucks I just couldn't pass it up. Thanks for looking and luck in the hunt.

The ribbon is for good conduct. The shoulder patch is from the Alaskan Defense Command which was formed in 1941.

Nice find for such a low price
Patches look hand or theater sewed. If I remember correctly Alaska had a few battles during WWII when the japs tried to capture some islands. Since there is a whistle maybe he was a MP. All things considered its an outstanding find.
