Hi, I was wondering how much difference there is between the older and newer sd's. I'm also curious how long they last. I was looking into getting a used one and I wouldn't want something that may soon break. I don't know about metal detectors, but most electronics I have bought don't last very long. Just had an ipod die after a year.

Also, what kinds of battery options are there. If you are going into the bush and won't have a plug or car charger available are there battery packs they come with or that you can buy separate?
