has anyone had any luck finding a pcb board for the AA battery holders? i called minelab, sunray, and several dealers and struck out. i was also wondering if there would be a market if i made some. has anyone made a power source that would work for the detector? so the metal detector manufacturers consider old to be ten years. old to me is no parts after 25 years. thanks

I Have 2 pcb boards.

Picture.jpg

I Purchased a second one
the Moment I Realized how easy it is to misplace them.

The actual Battery packs may be hard to find also
not sure.

Have you had the problem of having to
tape the slide door closed when using AA's ?

Seems all mine are slighly longer then the Recharble packs.

What I realy would like to see also is somone
repair the original Digi-meters now that they are Discontinued.

And Yes After my Last Expierence with Minelab
it got Obvious 10, 11 year old detectors
are Very hard to get parts for.

Understandable I Guess, nobody wants to
Run off 10,000 parts for someting that rarely
needs 1 part.

& The expense of making only 1 is probably the same as making
10,000

I still think the sovereign xs-2 pro Warrants having parts
on hand and agree with your statement
old to me is no parts after 25 years.

Especially for the xs-2 pro Which I Believe
was way ahead of it's time & still is.

If I Had the $$ I'd buy every "XS2 PRO"
that comes up for sale, Just to guarantee a working one
in my Arsinal :coffee2:
Loosing the Pro & the Digi meter
is like loosing my thumbs :laughing7:

i forget the guys name at sunray, i spoke to him about the board, he didn't have any. he did tell me he had a new xs-2 pro that he wanted to sell. not sure what it comes with or the price. i know he didn't have the batteries. i think i am going to try to rebuild the battery packs i have. i bought some rechargable nihm batteries for the AA holder and pcb board. i may try to make a pcb board, but it probably won't look just like the minelab one though. if anyone has done any of this, please let us know. thanks
