Pretty sure you have to look through the clear plastic of the control unit. Should be stamped somewhere. I think it's on the underside that snaps onto the shaft. If I remember correct it's a pain to see clearly.

I called minelab and they told me where to find it on mine.I couldn't find it at first either. I don't remember now exactly where it is,but they were glad to provide the info. when I called.
