I took the discovery 1100 I bought my wife for christmas out to a festival grounds I've hunted a few times. I figured since it's February and she hasn't so much as looked at the detector, someone should get get some use out of it. The detector was very light and I had a good time with it. If my wife isn't interested in it then I wouldn't mind it as a backup.
