Hi, its 800 silver. A little banged up. My mom went to an estate sale and they had old silverware. They wanted 100 for the box. She said there was nothing good and left it. I went there at 11:30 and asked how much and he said $20. A ton of plated but 342 grams of 800 and 119 grams of 925. Best score of the week for me. Signed lazarus posen 1870-1930. 10 1/2” long.

Hard to miss that big ole spoon. I searched through a couple boxes of mixed flatware yesterday at a couple sales. No luck on anything though.

Yeah i haven’t seen silver flatware in forever. Not even a single piece.

Great find! That’ll polish up nice and look pretty sharp. Well done!

I've got some big 800 silver spoons and one honking ladle. I picked all these up in 2014 at an Arc TS. All for a total of $68.97. combined total weight is 1.909 lbs. Some are Russian, some French and Austria. The small ladle is a two piece constructed American coin silver. They date from the late 18th century to the later 19th century. My favorite overall I found that day is the gilded alloy solid silver Russian double-headed eagle spoon. It has a bent cross on the head crest I need to have a silversmith anneal before it can be bent back. I'm afraid if I do it it'll break off.
