I got out for a couple of hunts and managed to find this cutlass scabbard with the blade inside of it, I'm looking to get it in an electrolysis bath pretty quick to try and save them.
here are a few more mystery metal blobs, the two on top on the right seem like maybe silver the one below it sounded like brass through the phones. I'm sending samples to my brother for analysis, the shield shaped thing in the center seems like silver and may have a bust on it.
and finally the beast from the deep. this is the wringer from a very old wringer washing machine. the extended shaft on the bottom roller was a foot beneath the lakebed it was almost straight up. all told it took the better part of an hour to dig it out. the piece at the top right is a net weight from an old gill net.
