I believe that locks with the Yale & Towne "Y & T" trefoil logo (sometimes described as a "key head" or "clover") on the back of the case date from 1897 to 1925.

Thanks Nana.Get someone to go with you it's fun. If you don't want to do all the climbing just do the lower slopes by the trees. A woods connected to a park would be best.Good luck.

That's a sharp looking lock, too! PBK never lets us down with info on the old finds....
