I got out for about an hour and a half right before dark yesterday. A friend of mine (one of my church members) got me permission to hunt two homes built in 1929. They were built by brothers, and stand side by side.

But, once again, I could find nothing but wheaties and clad. And, once again, they are OLD wheaties.

They include a beautiful 1911, what appears to be a 1917-D (it came out of the ground nasty and corroded and was hopeless upon clean-up - must have been "fertilized"), a 1926, and a 1936.

Here's the pic ...

So, since I started my official second year of metal detecting on November 21, I have found eleven wheaties (all prior to 1937) and only one piece of silver ... a 1935 quarter.

But I'm hitting a really old property (maybe two) tomorrow!!
