Went out with DDub today for a 6hr hunt today and we ran into BillT, the finds were few and far between but we managed to find some goodies. My best was when I got another nail signal (bouncing from iron to coin) and figured what they heck, let me dig it just to see what it is. I couldn't pinpoint the signal so I did "the minelab wiggle" to guesstimate where the target was. I was flippin dirt out when I seen a LARGE disc laying in front of me and starter yelling as loud as I could for DDub & BillT to come over, just then I thought to myself man this will be funny if I'm wrong and its just a makeup compact! :tongue3: I never thought I would find a silver dollar and man am I pumped!!!!!

The really weird thing is this year I have found a 1892 dime, quarter, half, & now a dollar!?!?! Must be my lucky year or something!!! ???

Re: MORGAN DOLLAR!!!!! 1892s

Awsome post, and I'd have to agree with Balding Boy...great job on NOT rubbing your find. Kills me when I see people rub their silver coins, it's hard enough to get them outta the ground without scratching them, then to only go and sheen it up by rubbing it. Very cool find, been with a buddy when he found his 2 Morgans...still waiting on mine. Also love the fact it's a 92-S...not that any Morgan wouldn't be great !

Re: MORGAN DOLLAR!!!!! 1892s

Congratulations on the Morgan, Treasurefiend! That thing looks like a frisbee!

It looks like there's some green patina on the back...almost like there was something copper in the hole with it.

Re: MORGAN DOLLAR!!!!! 1892s

I soaked a mexican dollar in lemon juice for a couple minutes to remove some green crud, worked great and did not hurt the coin at all, I'm not saying to try it, but it may be an option. I got the idea from Iron Patch.

Re: MORGAN DOLLAR!!!!! 1892s

Didn't watch the video, but noticed the reverse looks like it has a lot of water on it. Was it raining, or was the water table a little high?

I notice I get more silver and depth whenever the ground is saturated with water. Anyone else notice that?

BTW, excellent $, and yep, it's one of the better ones!

Fantastic Morgan.
If I were you, I would play the lottery and try to incorporate 1892 in your numbers!! Seems to be your year.
Love your videos-great passion.
