MORGAN DOLLAR!!!!! 1892s ~ WOW just seen the 2011 Redbook $$$ for it!!!

Went out with DDub today for a 6hr hunt today and we ran into BillT, the finds were few and far between but we managed to find some goodies. My best was when I got another nail signal (bouncing from iron to coin) and figured what they heck, let me dig it just to see what it is. I couldn't pinpoint the signal so I did "the minelab wiggle" to guesstimate where the target was. I was flippin dirt out when I seen a LARGE disc laying in front of me and starter yelling as loud as I could for DDub & BillT to come over, just then I thought to myself man this will be funny if I'm wrong and its just a makeup compact! I never thought I would find a silver dollar and man am I pumped!!!!!

The really weird thing is this year I have found a 1892 dime, quarter, half, & now a dollar!?!?! Must be my lucky year or something!!!

WOW a friend of mine just told me the VF value for an 1892s ~ $120!!!!!!

I have the 2006 Redbook and knew it was a scarcer date, mine has it listed as $60 in VF, wow it went up in price!!!

I know its a dug coin and has some environmental issues that will effect the price but hey it was free and a find of a lifetime for me!!!!

TF, congrats that is awesome. I think silver dollars are rare to find because of their size and weight. Think about it, you don't drop one of those without realizing it. Great find and a great date!

hope your not sayin the value of his morgan is 25-35.00 cause if so your way off... it is more in the 100-250.00 range

Congratulations on the Morgan, Treasurefiend! That thing looks like a frisbee!

It looks like there's some green patina on the back...almost like there was something copper in the hole with it.
